The Motto of NSS “Not Me But You”, reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the student’s development & appreciation to other person’s point of view and also show consideration towards other living beings. The objectives of the National Service Scheme is to help volunteers in understanding the communal and Social relationships, culture, heritage, needs of the needy, their problems and the ultimate solutions. It develops the volunteers with a great sense of social and civic responsibility.

The institution has five units of NSS, with a total of 500 volunteers. With the aforesaid motto and objectives of NSS in mind and heart, the NSS units functions.

The NSS volunteers participated in the Intercollegiate competitions ‘DHWANI 2020’ organized by the Presidency College, Chennai. Our volunteers participated in all the competitions and won prizes in almost all the competitions. They also won the overall championship in the competition. It is a record made by our NSS volunteers that they won the overall championship for third time in a row.

Our NSS volunteers participated in various campaigns during the pandemic period and have been constantly helping out the people who are in need of through disaster management programme and achieved success in all their endeavors. Our volunteers tirelessly work for the welfare of the public. The NSS Programme officers, who constantly update and are trained with the Orientation Programme conducted by Empanelled Training Institution, MSSW. Both our officers and students keep participating in intercollegiate activities in learning, enhancing, gaining and spreading the vision and mission of NSS to the society.
