The PG and Research Department of Economics, Sir Theagaraya College, Chennai, organized an International Seminar on “Economic Resilience in the 21st Century: Environment, Governance, and Global Markets” on 24th September 2025 in hybrid mode, commemorating 75 years of academic excellence. The event brought together academicians, researchers, policymakers, and industry experts to deliberate on climate change, global trade, and post-pandemic fiscal policy. Keynote speaker Dr. S. Senthil Kumar (Skyline University, Nigeria) emphasized sustainability and economic resilience. Six technical sessions, including three for paper presentations, fostered enriching academic exchanges and showcased research from both scholars and students. The seminar, featuring eminent guests and alumni, recorded over 500 participants, 250 abstract submissions, and 100 published papers. It stood as a testament to the department’s commitment to inclusive scholarship, collaborative learning, and academic excellence, highlighting Sir Theagaraya College’s enduring legacy in higher education.
