11.08.2026 – Drug-Free Tamil Nadu Programme 2026 – Oratorical and Drawing Competition
Oratorical and Drawing Competitions conducted to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle.

The NSS Units of Sir Theagaraya College, Chennai, organised an Anti-Drug Programme -Pledge on “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu” to raise awareness on the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society. Students and faculty joined a live video conference with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. C. Joseph Vijay, via YouTube Live, supporting the Drug-Free Tamil Nadu campaign.

The programme sensitised participants to the physical, psychological, and social impacts of drug abuse and encouraged them to spread awareness in the community. It concluded with a collective pledge: “Say NO to Drugs – YES to Life”, supporting a Drug-Free Tamil Nadu.
