NSS Unit programme conducted at the college campus and various locations across Royapuram Constituency.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Sir Theagaraya College successfully conducted a Census 2027 Awareness Programme on 30 July 2026 at the college campus and various locations across the Royapuram Constituency. The programme aimed to educate the public about the importance of Census 2027, India’s digital census initiative, and encourage every household to actively participate in the census process. NSS volunteers created awareness by interacting with the public, distributing informative pamphlets, and explaining the objectives, benefits, and significance of the census for national planning and development. The volunteers emphasized that accurate census data helps the Government in planning education, healthcare, housing, infrastructure, and welfare schemes effectively.
