Description: The NSS Units of Sir Theagaraya College, Chennai, in association with the Fire and Rescue Services Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, organized an Awareness Programme on “Fire Fighting” on 25 June 2026. The programme aimed to educate students on fire prevention, emergency response, and safety measures during fire-related incidents. Fire and Rescue Service personnel demonstrated the proper use of firefighting equipment, evacuation procedures and basic fire safety techniques. The interactive session enhanced students’ awareness, preparedness and confidence in responding effectively to fire emergencies, emphasizing the importance of safety and disaster preparedness in everyday life.
