The Red Ribbon Club is a voluntary on campus intervention program for students. The programme organized by RRC addresses the knowledge, attitude and behavior of the youths in the interrelated areas of Voluntary Blood Donation, HIV & AIDS, as demanded by their age, environment and lifestyle.
The RRC (Red Ribbon Club) consists of 150 students with the coordination of NSS in the college. Every year, an awareness programme for HIV/AIDs and Cancer is organized. Doctors and Resource person, give lectures and awareness to the students regarding their health. The students participate in Blood Donation Camps held inside the college; AlDS awareness programme conducted by TANSAC; participate in Rally for NO TOBACCO NO CANCER.
Awareness drive conducted for “Breast Cancer Free India 2030” on February 2020 by India Turns Pink Foundation. Principal Dr. P. Senthilkumaar was awarded as Pink Ambassador, Certificate of Appreciation for his kind support and encouragement for the girl students’ health especially. Followed by Mrs. V. Kavitha, Assistant Professor in English and selecting 3 students from RRC was awarded too. This was in recognition of the successful women in their field towards Breast Cancer awareness drive for the project of India Turns Pink 2020-21.
